My son and I did that hike. The final hike on our list of pretty much every hike Big Bend has to offer. What a great view it was to sit on the edge of Santa Elena Canyon wall, legs hanging over the edge with the Rio Grande over 1000 to 1500 feet below. A very tough hike but worth all the effort.
