Day 4: Yellowstone National Park

Now that I'm all caught up on getting caught up, I wanted to finish telling you about how amazing trip to Yellowstone. Our theme for this trip was epic and it sure was amazing!

The fourth day of our trip I called it "Animal Day" because our goal was to see every animal possible. And, "Animal Day" did not disappoint. If you know me, I'm obsessed with all animals. So, our first stop was Lamar Valley where we saw so many bison. It was later in the morning so we didn't see a lot of action other than the bison.

We headed North and went through Silver Gate and Cooke City. We did some shopping and stopped for breakfast at the best breakfast spot called Log Cabin Cafe. This food was so good that we ended up eating here twice. Everything was so fresh and delicious that I seriously think about this breakfast almost every morning now.

We needed to connect to Wi-Fi to check in on our restaurant deliveries so it was a perfect spot to stop and take a break and plan the rest of our day. We decided to head to Roosevelt Lodge and check out that area of the park for the day and make our way back to stay in Silver Gate for the night. We decided that it was too cold to camp for the night.

As we made our way through the Lamar Valley again we stopped to watched the bison. We saw two get in a fight right by a line of cars which was probably one of the craziest things we've ever seen. You can see some action in these photos below.

We made our way to the Roosevelt Lodge and continued on where we saw some cars pulled over on the side of the road. We decided to stop and see what they had spotted. And, it was a MOOSE! I was in tears! This was the first moose I've ever seen in person. She was perfectly happy cooling off in the pond.

We made our way down the road and saw another group gathering. We pulled off to see what they were looking at and they said a black bear! He was behind a tree so we couldn't see him so we decided to wait to see if he would come out. And sure enough, he did! I was so excited.

This was such an incredible experience. I could have stayed there for hours just watching the animals! On our way back, we ended up seeing the Moose and her baby. They had made their way from the pond to the woods. It's hard to tell in the photos but they're both there.

We started to make our way back to Silver Gate to check-in to our little hostel/hotel for the night and find dinner. We stopped a couple of times to see bison, deer, and other fun sights. The fourth day was my favorite day of the entire trip. It was purely magic.
