Easy Trail for the "Non-hikers" in Big Bend

Lower Burro Mesa Pour-Off Trail

This super easy trail has a massive payoff. This trail would be great for little kids, people who need an easier walk, or for us “non-hikers”. This trail was one of our first hikes that got me hooked on exploring Big Bend as much as possible.

This walk is 1 mile in and out. You will get to see great views that feel prehistoric with the fun pour-off. In fact, we were sitting enjoying the view when we heard a loud grunt. Trust me, this non-hiking girl took off running. I wasn't going to wait long enough to find out what wanted to show me it's home. So, bring lots of water/snacks and enjoy the view! You don’t want to miss this one.

I highly suggest using the Alltrails App which helps you find the right location, navigates and tracks for you, and also lets you rate the trail and upload photos. I have found that this app has led us to some amazing destinations.
