The Best Viewpoint from DOM Rock

You can find this sacred spot right off River Road as you begin to climb the very steep hill. You won't be able to miss it as you will be mesmerized by the incredible views. There's one thing standing in between you and Mexico; the Rio Grande. This has been one of my favorite spots to stop for over a year now. I always make a joke that it feels like "church". As I get older, I realize just how small we are as humans but how big of an impact we can leave on this world. This spot is for thinking.

Also, a scene in the movie “Fandango” was filmed here so be on the lookout for DOM rock. It’s pretty cool once you spot it! I'm not a movie buff but you'll know it when you see it.

Gorgeous right? You have to see it for it yourself!

This spot is great for the “non-hikers”! You can pull up, jump out, and explore. I do suggest taking your time and sitting for a while. The scenery is special.
